Solutions.
I am angry and outraged with the total lack of common sense when it comes to defending our sweet innocent children from senseless violence. We say we want to help, we care then why do we avoid the obvious solutions? We are attacking the symptoms and totally ignoring the root causes. nothing more than placing band aids on symptoms.
How can anyone look at the pictures of those sweet innocent children and say they hid under a desk, hid in a closet or ran? How can they care when they hid or ran when they knew the carnage taking place?
We teach avoidance, when we should be teaching action, stop the perp at all costs if we really care. Lets have more gun laws, more rules and regulations, more stupid speeches, more people saying they care yet they run and hide.
Arm teachers and school workers with knowledge, with guns and with simple, practical ways to stop the perps, the shooters before they kill so many.
This is not about guns, large capacity clips, more gun laws, this is about our culture and dealing with the facts and reality. We have taken away our basic tools in our society for dealing with violence of any type, we may offend a certain group or religion or way of life that is clearly evil. Lets stop taking God out of our schools and our lives, go back to our first love and the very reason e are here in the first place. When we push God out we open the door for evil, simple as that. Only one way to fight evil, with God and His love for us, His divine protections, His promises.
Please people, if you are really upset and angry with these senseless killings then take action, stop reacting, practicing avoidance, stop hiding and saving your own life, value life, the lives of those we are to protect, do something.
Look at the Sandy Hook shootings, the perp enters the school and goes to the office where adults are, he starts shooting them like ducks in a barrel, people hide under desks, call 911, wait for the police, lock themselves in a closet, cower in a corner. Instead look around at what is at hand, desks, chairs, books, pencil sharpeners, tape dispensers, purses and maybe a gun. If the people in that office were trained to take action could the tables have been turned. maybe a couple people would be wounded or even die but certainly not 27.
If we really care and want to honor our commitment to our children, if we are being real honest with ourselves than we need to take some affirmative action and now before this all plays out another time and we're left grieving for our loved ones we are sworn to protect, those that look to adults for protection and guidance.
